If you, your spouse/domestic partner or child has autism, we have benefits to help
you. How the benefits work will depend on which medical plan you choose.
In the PPO, EPO and HDHP plans, your autism coverage is through the Aetna network. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), physical, occupational, speech and music therapy for certain disorders are covered without any limitations, and the services are covered at the same level whether you receive care in an outpatient or in-home setting.
In the Kaiser or the HMSA plan, your autism coverage is through the respective medical plan.
Employees and dependents enrolled in any Direct Shop medical plan are eligible for Included Health services, which is a queer and trans-led care concierge team that works with you one-on-one to navigate the healthcare system, find LGBTQ+ affirming care, discover community resources, and provides support and general education. Included Health provides guidance during your gender affirming journey and non-clinical support at every step of the way.
In addition, we provide gender affirming support and coverage under the PPO, EPO and HDHP medical plans for employees or dependents who are transitioning. Our dedicatedAccolade transgender specialty team will walk with you side-by-side through your gender affirming journey and will support all of your healthcare needs, even those not related to your gender transition. They are also available to help with provider searches and claims resolutions.
At Direct Shop, we’re committed to nurturing and empowering community — internally as well as externally.
